Kelsey took a deep breath. She looked out and saw her Dad, her hero, facing away from her and waiting to see her. This is her wedding day and she was simply glowing. Her Dad turned around and instantly tears welled up in his eyes. Kelsey looked into those tear filled eyes and through her own emotion said “You know I’ll always be your girl, that will never change”. They embraced as Jane, the mother of the bride, watched from a distance. I could see the bitter sweet emotion in her eyes as she was realizing her baby girl was all grown up and now it was her husband’s time to give her away to Cody.
More emotion flooded Howe Farms Apple Barn when it came time for Kelsey and Cody to read their thoughtfully prepared letters to each other. From the first few words that Kelsey uttered Cody began to lose it. He was simply overcome with the emotion of the day and the love he had for Kelsey. These two are one of the sweetest couples. I often see couples that are either passionate or playful, but I don’t always see a couple who is both. Cody and Kelsey have a deep, loving connection but also know how to have fun and play together. It was such a joy to capture every moment of their day!
Cody and Kelsey, thank you for choosing me to be a part of your day! It had a few hiccups but I’m so thankful to have a bride and groom that could focus on each other and took it all in stride. I wish you both all the happiness in the word and I know your faith will keep your marriage strong!
