Pigeon Mountain Wedding: Laura + Hugo

“I’ve prayed for a  girl like her”  is what Hugo said when I asked why he is in love with Laura.  Laura, of course, had also prayed for a man who pursued her in the way Hugo does.  The only thing more on fire than this couple’s chemistry is their passion for their faith.  Nothing speaks to that more than the foot washing they incorporated into their wedding ceremony.  Jesus washed the feet of his disciples as an act of humble love, seen in John 13:12-17.  It was such a moving thing to see this couple enter in their marriage in this way. The tenderness, humbleness, and joy on the faces of both bride and groom during this portion of the ceremony is something I’ll never forget.  All day, you could see in their eyes that they truly cherish each other and are grateful to have found one another so early in life.

I was so excited for this beautiful day in LaFayette, Georgia at Pigeon Mountain Crossing.  This venue has some classic touches with stained glass windows with a rustic edge.  This venue is set at the base of Pigeon mountain and we ascended to the overlook for the couples “First Look”.

Laura and Hugo, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives these last several months!  I so enjoyed being a part of your day and a tiny part of your story.  Please don’t ever stop sending me photos of Benny, the cutest labradoodle in the world! I wish all three of you all the happiness in the world!
