Our photography clients are more than just people. They are the heart of our business and if you are working with them in a way that fosters an ongoing relationship, they truly become part of our lives.
What you gift, cost, etc. is different for each photographer. I look at gifting as a way to relate to me and not just look at me as the person that is taking their picture. Letting my photography clients know that I am here to serve them, make them feel loved and cherished is important to me.
My gifting process works for me and how I want my photography clients to feel from the beginning of our relationship on.
First, the booking gift. This gift is a “branded” box that includes my wedding guide.
Next, something “fun”. A book on dating ideas or a bucket list. During their engagement season, it helps encourage them to keep dating and have fun.
Then, something special. For me, this is vow books. This is something they can use on their wedding day and it helps give that special “detail” for those important detail shots.
I also throw a ring cleaning pen in the mix, a personalized lavender pillow spray with my logo and a cute Disney pen. Representing my brand and who I am helps them get to know me as well.
Giving your photography clients that extra special experience also helps them remember you as more then just their photographer and keeps them talking in the years to come.
