When my bestie told me she was going to the courthouse to get married I knew I had to intervene.  I knew she loved dressing up and I knew she loved pretty photos and pretty places.  We have been friends for almost 10 years and experienced so many things together, I know her.  I also knew she was marrying a truly sweet man who would do just about anything she asked him to do so I started planning this Max Patch Smokey Mountain Bohemian Elopement!  It was totally worth driving 3 hours and getting TOTALLY SOAKED from the rain about 30 seconds after I took my last shot of the night.

Leisha and I became friends when we started working together and I invited myself (yes I did) on her vacation to Disney World with her two daughters, 6 and 8 at the time.  That’s the year that started our annual “girls trip”.  We have traveled all over the country visiting the best hikes of our National Parks and always capping our trips off with a Spa experience.  I can’t believe what beautiful young women the girls have become and  I get all teary eyed if I look at the photos below too long.    I love this family.  They are a part of my family and I’m so excited to welcome Chip, Bobby, and Robby into it!  It makes my heart so happy to see Leisha and Chip together and the happiness that exudes out of both of them.

This Max Patch Smokey Mountain Elopement in North Carolina was Heaven on Earth

Max Patch is an absolutely stunningly beautiful place just over the North Carolina state line and overlooks the Great Smokey Mountains.  If you live in the South you definitely have to put it on your bucket list.  From the bald you have a 360 degree unobstructed view of beautiful layers and layers of the oldest mountains in the world.  It truly is one of my favorite places for anything.  Camping, photo sessions, and especially elopements!
