Sunflower Wedding on Chattanooga’s Southside : Abby + Jeramie

I casually walked in the dressing room to check on the bride before the ceremony and suddenly realized I was walking in a very spiritual and special moment. Then I saw the bride, her Mom Ann, and all her bridesmaids huddled in the center of the room. I felt like I was intruding, but I also knew something special was happening. They were holding hands in this circle and earnestly praying for Abby and Jeramie. After the prayer, the mother of the bride lifted her head and began to cry. Between her tears she looked at her beautiful daughter and told her “If I could choose any bride in the world I would choose you”. Abby was smiling and laughing, but then I noticed she was crying too. The bridesmaids, two of which were Abby’s sisters, were also crying while still holding hands. It was one of those special moments in a family that I am lucky enough to witness as a wedding photographer. Those moments stay with me and when I start to lose faith in humanity those moments pull me back to optimism.

It has been such a pleasure getting to know Abby and Jeramie. I absolutely loved this sunflower wedding on Chattanooga’s southside. The sunflowers in her bouquet were nowhere near as bright as Abby’s smile when she looked at Jeramie. These have this thing where if they meet eyes for even a second they almost always burst into HUGE smiles and giggles. I LOVE that! This wedding at the First Lutheran Church in Chattanooga was meaningful, sweet, and wholesome. The sunflowers, crepes and candlelight at the Granfalloon was the perfect combination.

Abby and Jeramie,

thank you for choosing me to be a part of your day. I loved watching the two of you and you were seriously a dream to work with. I wish you all the happiness in the world!
