Chickamauga Battlefield was the perfect spot for this golden hour engagement shoot.  Not only are the images beautiful, but so is this couple.  Avery and Ryan met each other in their undergrad years and became best friends.  After reconnecting a few years ago, they knew they were meant to be.

Something that I find so beautiful is that in their reconnection, Avery said Ryan always held space for her.  It is something that they both make sure to do in their relationship with each other to take care of the emotional needs of each other.  I think that is such a beautiful thing and you can see in the way they are with each other that there is something truly special between them.

Their mutual love of traveling, slow mornings with coffee and brunch and walking their dogs is how they keep that connection.  I think that couples who make sure to do the things that they love and make them happy, have such deeper connections.  They nurture their relationship and their individual loves.

Finally, as they plan their next steps, I can only imagine how much their love will grow.
