Aaron called me weeks before the big day, excited and nervous. He was making big plans for his girlfriend Kaitlin. He wanted to pop the question on their trip to Chattanooga and was thinking about Rock City. I walked him through all the possible spots and we had a great plan. I was receiving texts from their friends, traveling with them, all day making sure I was in the right spot at the right time. Butterflies were in my stomach, all while trying to look natural. I have no idea if I pulled it off.
This was the perfect Chattanooga Proposal!
As Aaron and Kaitlin approached the over-the-edge overlook at observation point I heard her say “No way and I going out there, you guys go ahead”. Immediately I started to panic, this was THE SPOT! Thankfully Aaron was able to coax her out there and he quickly got down on one knee (probably for fear she was going to run back!). SHE SAID YES! We celebrated with them and spent a little while in a very empty Rock City taking some awesome photos!
I love surprise proposals, especially a Chattanooga proposal! They are so fun and full of adrenaline! I wish Aaron and Kaitlin all the happiness in the world!
